Steve Jankowski, from the Tues/Thurs league, attended two BPs at Torrey Pines and was rated a “5”. SB e-mailed all 8 managers requesting their attendance at the 8/28/17 player draft.

SB e-mailed all 76 draftees regarding the draft indicating that with 6 teams and only 12 players per team that only 72 players would be drafted and those not drafted would be placed in the player pool and on the waiting list.

  5. Rules Discussion

HA brought up the issue of the home run limit and intentional walks. We agreed that with the influx of younger players into the league that sometime in the future we may consider increasing the over-the-fence HR limit from 4 to 5 or 6.

Also, HA felt that there was an excessive number of non-strategic intentional walks.

Without vote, but with the general consensus of the Board, it was agreed that there was no need to make any rule changes at this time.

  6. Next Meeting

Our next meeting, a combined Managers’ Meeting/Draft (Round 1) Meeting, will be held on August 28.
