Summary
The Bob Kapeller Memorial Tournament was held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Big League Dreams Sports Park in Perris, CA. This event, hosted by Menifee Valley Upper Division Senior Softball, honored the disabled veterans and members of our armed forces (both past and present) for their service, dedication, and sacrifices for our country.
This year, profits will go to the “4 Paws 4 Patriots” charity which provides service dogs training and equipment for disabled American veterans.
Over 300 players, family, and friends attended this year’s festivities.
32 softball games and a 50-50 raffle were all part of the day’s activities.
Tournament Games
20 teams competed in the six-division round-robin/single-elimination tournament.
The division champions were:
60 Division – Pony’s House 60AAA
65 Division – Weakend Warriors 65AAA
70M Division – Over-the-Edge 70M
70AAA Division – D&K 70AAA
70AA Division – Franklin Loans 70AA
75 Division – So. Cal Warriors 75AAA
Home Run Derby – cancelled this year

Al Underwood was crowned home run king in the 60-64 division and
Guy Trisler in the 65-69 division.
